There cream colored University building is most beautiful in the spring when the magnolias on University Square flowers.
The house replaced in 1882 Kungshuset as the main building of the University and gives each visitor a magnificent experience.
Through the huge double doors from University Square, you reach the atrium, an open space with bleachers around and natural light through glass ceiling. Here you have a wonderful space for coffee break, mingling and small exhibitions.
Up the stairs you find Universitetsaulan (“University Hall”), a richly adorned hall lined with stone pillars. Here is the original interior wooden benches and the hall can accommodate 300 seats on its ground floor. These can be replaced with conference chairs.
A half flight of stairs from the atrium leads down to Pelarsalen (“the Pillar Hall”), which with its royal blue vault gives every mingle, lunch or dinner a sense of class.
The Auditorium overlooks the atrium from the gallery. This room,also known as hall 206, combines stylish atmosphere with modern technology. The auditorium is useful for seminars, lectures and meetings, and during the break to get happy refreshments served on the balcony of the atrium.
