Palaestra et Odeum is located along the north side of University Square
and was built in 1883 as a gymnastics hall and it was used this way for almost 100 years. Since then it has been frequently used as a lecture building and got a major facelift in 2007. During the summer months you can enjoy the fantastic blue blossoms climbing on the walls of the building.
The Palaestra is a technically very well equipped auditorium with seating for 250 people.
It can be divided in two: the upper and lower Palaestra. The auditorium is suitable for conferences, seminars, lectures. The building also houses the simpler and smaller room Lilla Seminariesalen (“Small Seminar room”), ideal for group activities, meetings, break rooms, wardrobe etc..
